Yeah, I have. I would even say it’s happened often, surprisingly enough. But afterwards I would realize my feelings about who I was “meant” to be with were directly related to a sense of entitlement as much as any real affection. You’re only meant to be with the person you choose to be with, providing they’ve chosen you as well.

A word of advice, if anyone keeps coming back or never quite leaves and you’re starting to think you’re “fated” to be together, tread carefully. Usually these people stay in our lives as a matter of convenience. The chance of a true relationship grows slimmer each time they return.
